Shotty Motion Capture Demo

Ok, so there’s no sound in this video and the production is a little poor. But perhaps this video gives a glimpse as to how reliable the technology is right now (read: not very). It seems as though during the demonstration the Natal is having difficulty smoothly transitioning the 3d signals from the dancer to the Natal avatar. It doesn’t seem smooth and intuitive.

Now who knows how much work has to be done in order to iron out the Natal technology– rumour has it Natal is pushing for a 2010 launch– but even if some work has to be done, this video at the very least gives a glimpse of what Dance, Dance, Revolution might look like in the future ;).
