Official Project Natal Promo

Here is the video that Microsoft used to introduce Project Natal with. I showed it to my roomates and they were impressed– judging by the enormous pageviews these video’s are racking up, it seems as though the rest of the world is impressed too.

The video basically shows how the Natal might be used to create games. None of the games in the video are actually being developed– they are just speculation on what could be. The video shows a young boy playing a hand-to-hand combat game, a family playing a racing game and a family playing a trivia game together. All three examples all seem pretty neat :)

One really interesting part of the video is near the end when a girl goes on to Natal and video chats with a friend who recommends a dress for the girl. Natal then puts the dress on the girl so she can see what it’d look like. Wow– probably just a pipe dream at this point but it’s a really interesting implementation that shows the direction Microsoft hopes Natal will go.
